  1. This was such a fresh post ! Loved each one of them. My favourite is travel makes u modest. It infact has changed us for better. And it has made us want to see the world all the more. The smaller is the radius of the place you live in, the bigger and stronger you feel you are. It’s only when you travel miles you realize you are just a tiny grain of sand in the desert.

  2. What a lovely list. It was a great mix of familiar favourites and a few I’d never heard before. I think my favourite travel quote of all time has to be “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list” 🙂

  3. Definitely agree with Neale Donald Walsch on so many levels, not only on traveling… It is essential to break out from our comfort zone to truly live.. 🙂 Great collection of travel quotes!

  4. these are so motivational! sometimes you get stuck in the rut of everyday life, and forget that there’s so much out there to see, and these are great reminders

  5. Those are some very good quotes. I loved the quote by Helen Keller and Augustine of Hippo. Kudos to you for writing them down all at one place. It just inspires me to travel more. Cheers!

  6. Dear Yeshi, thank you for putting these wise words together. They are truly inspiring and so so true. I guess you only know that they are true once you started travelling yourself. It teaches you so much and it changes you. I think I liked the first one, because it expresses perfectly how we feel, especially with the blog being storytellers now but still speechless at every new thing we explore. Thanks again for this post.

  7. Each and every quote is very well chosen and mentioned. Each quote has something to say to a specific traveler. The one that appeals to me the most is “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone” by Neale Donald Walsch. It is so true and so precise and i have realised it deeply during my solo trips! Thanks for sharing

  8. Ahh these are all inspiring. My favorite would be, “Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world” by Gustave Flaubert, because it is so true. I am not the same person, I used to be so arrogant until I started traveling. It made me realize just how much I do not know and how big the world is.

My favorite travel quote is from the novelist, Pat Conroy, “Once you have traveled, the voyage never ends, but is played out over and over again in the quietest chambers. The mind can never break off from the journey.”

    1. Marjorie – I love this quote! The last part…the mind can never break off from the journey – it holds true for me!

  9. Great collection of quotes. I especially resonate with the first one by Ibn Battuta. It is the very reason I started my blog, to share my travel experiences

  10. I really don’t know which of these quotes fit to me, they all are nice! Probablt don’t listen… GO and SEE is the best!

  11. Wow! This is such a lovely dose of inspiration! I love all of them. But my favourite would be the last one. ‘I don’t want to go back to where I came from. I don’t want to reach where I’m going. I just want to keep traveling”. Me too! 🙂

    1. I went through a bunch of travel inspiration and these are the ones that seemed to make a different in how I see the world and want to travel!
