Travel Blogger Q&A Series – Resrutt

June brings about my first ever series with travel bloggers! These are the amazing people that travel the world and share their stories on their blogs. We network on a weekly basis and I figured it was time for me to showcase them and their blogs in a Q&A series!

Resrutt – The Travel Blog

Great Wall of China

Per Brogevik runs the travel blog Resrutt, focusing on itineraries from the coolest places all over the world. His last trip was to the arctic island of Svalbard. If you’re looking for an experience out of the ordinary and even to spot a polar bear or two, Svalbard should go on your bucket list!

What’s your earliest travel memory?

When I was a kid, we hardly ever traveled abroad. We went camping in Sweden during the summers. It’s nice memories!

Have you ever cried at the airport?

Only when I have to go home from a wonderful vacation!

What’s your travel style?

Well, nowadays, it must be family travels. I like all kinds of travels. Cities, beaches, adventure… A little bit of everything!

What is your favourite city?

New York City for sure. That’s a city you can return to many times and still find new places to visit and explore.

What is the weirdest thing you carry while travelling?

My inflatable pillow. It goes with me everywhere. You never know when you need to take a nap!

Koh Lipe, Thailand

What’s the most adventurous thing you you’ve done on holiday?

I just returned from a trip to the Arctic island of Svalbard. There, I went for a snowmobiling trip 100 km out into the wilderness and stayed overnight in a small cabin without electricity. I will write about it in a couple of weeks on my blog, so I won’t tell if we encountered any polar bears or not…

What do you collect when travelling?

Only the amount of countries visited I guess. Getting close to 50 now.

If you could time travel, which era and area would you choose?

I would go to the Wild West in the US during the gold rush or something. I have always been fascinated of that era and place.

Which is your favourite international meal?

What is an international meal these days? The hamburger will always count, I pick that one!

What do you miss most about home when you travel?

I guess I miss the clean Swedish water straight from the tap.

How does travel make you feel?

Travel makes me feel excited and curious. I love to visit new places and to meet new people.

Where is the best party scene?

I might not be the right person to be asked that question anymore. I would have to put in a good word for the capital of my home country, Stockholm!

Favourite travel related book?

Around the World in Eighty Days, by Jules Verne. Way ahead of time, still inspiring.

Worst piece of travel advice you’ve received?

I have fantastic travel buddies and only get great advice!

What’s your ritual when you get to a new destination?

I always unpack my bags first thing when entering a new hotel room, just to settle down. It’s a ritual and has to be done right away!
